Find Purpose In Your Life

Your life has purpose. Do you know what it is? Putting in the time and effort to find purpose in your life is worth the investment.

The last time we looked at the EQUIPPING acronym, we unpacked the first “P” which stands for Principles. Now we are taking a closer look at the second “P” which represents Purpose. Each topic introduced in the EQUIPPING acronym builds on the others to reveal the path you’ll take as you become an ambassador for Christ in the marketplace.

Until you engage in a relationship with God, have answered the big questions we encounter in life, gained understanding, know our identity in Christ, and adopted the principles found in Scripture, you can’t embrace your God-given purpose.

So where do you start?

Start by embracing the truth that you have a purpose.

When you look at Scripture, there is no doubt you have a God-given purpose. Ephesians shows that God created you, and that he also prepared good works for you to do

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:10

Your purpose has been determined by God. He placed you right where you are in order for you to live out the good works that He has prepared for you to do. Find your purpose so you can embrace it and living our the call on your life as an ambassador for Christ.

Use insight to find your purpose.

As you may know from personal experience, your purpose is not always immediately obvious to you. Time and effort are often required to find purpose and understand what you are called to do with your life.

Proverbs offers counsel when it comes to discovering your purpose.

“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”

Proverbs 20:5

Remember God is the author of your purpose.

Rest in the truth that God is the author of your purpose and He is working all things together

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28
